Prioritizing Action!
You've made it through the end of the conference, now what?
How do you put into action what you've consumed?
It's not about endlessly consuming content - but rather how you implement it.
Below is a link to a podcast where I recorded a few weeks ago right after I completed a conference where I took 25 pages of notes. It's simply not possible to put all of it into action.
Instead, this is how I set myself up for success following an event.
While I'm still in the mind space of the event I put a star beside each item that I thought was the best nugget.
Then from there I choose what I will implement before the end of that week.
The next is what will I accomplish or implement within the month, then the quarter, and finally the year. I also choose one to two additional nuggets that I will implement before the year is out and I assign dates to them.
Putting deadlines for implementation is a big step. Without a date and plan, you've simply got a wish. Businesses aren't made upon a wish, but rather in action and dedication.
Finally, before you allow "the real world" to settle in, ask yourself - "What's Possible?"
Be wildly open to possibilities and to the idea that the way you think it has to happen, may not be the way at all. Some take a scenic route while others take a straight line, neither is right or wrong, just know that it might not be the path you thought it would be - and that's okay too.
